La Chouette from Bellegarde Airport, Limoges and the A20 north
If driving south on the A20 motorway, follow the directions from 4 onwards
1. Go straight across at the airport roundabout and take the next left, less than ½ mile/ 500m down the road, following the blue signs for the A20 motorway.
2. Stay on that road (the D2000) for about 13km miles until you get to the A20 (you'll pass a couple of roundabouts first). This road is notorious for having gendarmes and speed traps so make sure you obey the speed limit (90k/h unless it says something else)
3. Join the A20 autoroute south towards Toulouse (junction 28).
4. Leave the A20 at junction 35, signposted D979, Eymoutiers & Clermont Ferrand.
5. After 34kms/21 miles approx. the road passes through a village called La Veytisou. Slow down because the turning you need is about 200 metres on the right (opposite a yellow post box on the left and after the Boulangerie sign on the right).
6. Turn right here, at the ‘Chambres D’Hôtes’ sign (also signposted to La Corive, La Chapouladie & Courtiaux Romanet). You know you’ve taken the right road because as soon as you turn into it you’ll see a little house on the right called ‘Ma Chaumière’.
7. Follow the road down the hill and round to the right (ignore the left turn to
La Corrive) until you reach La Chapouladie. At the T-
8. La Chouette is the first house on the right and there’s a sign on the fence by the entrance. We also have ‘Gites de France’ and ‘Chambres d’Hôtes’ signs on the fence and in the field opposite the gate.
