We live in a beautiful part of France and would like to help keep it that way.
We therefore do our best to reduce our carbon footprint and follow eco-friendly practices:
- The hot water for the four rooms in the converted barn is heated by solar panels.
These are so efficient that we rarely need to use electricity to heat water.
- Solar panels heat the water in the main house, reducing our need to run our boiler.
- Our WCs are fitted with dual flush systems which are economic in their use of water.
- All our rooms are well insulated.
- Low energy light bulbs are fitted in all bedrooms and bathrooms.
- We recycle everything we can and provide recycling bins to encourage our guests to
do the same.
- We grow as much of our own fruit and vegetables as we can.
- The garden is watered using collected rainwater.
- We buy locally where possible.
- We have chickens.........so nothing goes to waste!
