Dinner

Dinner is served in typical ‘table d’hôte’ style – there is a single menu and the meal is served to everyone seated around a large table.  The menu changes daily and Richard and Jan always eat with their guests, where Richard is more than happy to share his culinary expertise and interest at the table!  On your return visits we endeavour to give you a new menu experience.

Aperitifs are usually served at 7.30pm, on the terrace if the weather is fine and the four-course dinner starts at 8pm.  Please let us know if anything prevents you arriving in time for a meal you’ve booked. If you would like to dine with us on your first night, we ask that you let us know when you confirm your reservation, at the same time telling us if there is anything you don't eat so that we prepare a meal that you enjoy.

Richard’s extensive professional experience means that most dietary requirements can be met.  However during the busy season it might be difficult to cater for non meat or fish eaters for more than one night if other guests have already booked their dinner.  Do ask, however, and we’ll do our best to help.

Breakfast

Breakfast is normally served between 8 and 9.30am, but if you have to make an early start, please let us know.  At breakfast you can try freshly baked croissants and home-made bread and jams, honey from the bees across the way, cereals, fresh fruit, fruit juice, tea, coffee or hot chocolate, and if the chickens are laying (and they usually are), boiled, scrambled or poached eggs.
