Room 5 on the first floor of the main house
Rooms

Four of the comfortable guest rooms

(Rooms 1 - 4) are on the ground floor of a south facing converted stone barn, next to Richard and Jan's house.

You can sit and relax on the paved terrace outside, or enjoy a lunch time picnic here.  When you walk around our pond you’ll notice the solar panels on the barn roof, which provide nearly all the hot water used by our guests.

Four of our guest rooms are in the converted barn

The two double rooms (Rooms 1 and 2) have a view over the valley and face south, with a French door opening onto the garden. Both bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms and WC, and electric heating for the cooler months

The two family rooms (Rooms 3 & 4) accommodate four people.  Room 3 has a  double bed (160cms) and a bunk bed for two, Room 4 has two single beds and a bunk bed.  Both bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms and WC, and electric heating.

Kitchen and lobby area with its fridge for your picnic provisions and kettle for a refreshing cuppa!

There is a small kitchenette with facilities for all guests to make a drink (tea and coffee provided) or a snack and a fridge to keep their picnic provisions cool! Tourist information and maps are available for guests to use.

The fifth guest room is on the first floor in the main house, and has views over the garden and forest.  The room has an en-suite shower room and benefits from the house central heating during the cooler months.  Tea and coffee making facilities are available in the room.

La Chouette stands in almost two acres of garden, in a very peaceful rural location, overlooking a small trout stream and woods.  A barn owl lives in the barn, and other wildlife abounds.

At the bottom of the garden is a small but deep pond, so if you have small children, please be aware of this.

We ask guests not to smoke anywhere indoors, and we’re sorry that we are unable to accept animals
